About AATA
The Amarillo Area Tennis Association, AATA, is a nonprofit volunteer organization established to promote, coordinate and enhance the quality and growth of tennis in the Amarillo Area. It welcomes all individuals who enjoy the game of tennis as a spectator or participant to visit local facilities and participate in events, tournaments, programs, and to become involved as a volunteer for AATA. Our ultimate goal is to support and foster good health and sportsmanship through tennis --- the sport for a lifetime.
AATA operates with players and volunteers who give of their time and money to help grow tennis in our area of Texas. The USTA Texas Section also provides grants to help with plans and growth in many areas of our tennis community such as After School Tennis Programs, Tennis on Campus, Junior Team Tennis, Adult and Senior Leagues, and Growing the Game.
AATA oversees three USTA Sanctioned Junior Tournaments, USTA Leagues and Junior Team Tennis. In this capacity, AATA is the steward of all funds derived from these events and is responsible to the USTA Texas Section to use funds generated from these programs and events to grow and promote tennis.
The AATA Board welcomes comments and suggestions from the entire community regarding tennis needs and opportunities. We also welcome new volunteers and sponsors to help make a difference and grow the game.
